Marquee Moon

“A mixture of punk and smart”, is how Music Photographer Socrates describes his look. Socrates goes on to say,” I am a New Yorker and I guess 70’s NYC New Wave is part of my DNA”. Socarates looks like he could have just walked out of the CBGB’s New York New Wave club, circa 1977. I am loving the crudely cut-off sleeves on Socrates rather smart Robert Cary-Williams coat, a nice reference to punk style.

   He definitely shows a strong individual style. I like how he references punk/new wave without becoming a parody of it. Great pic.
