It’s always a challenge for me to find the right place to photograph people in central London – it’s such a crowded busy city. I came across Mia while the Gay Pride festival was happening, and the streets were teaming  with people in every direction – but I managed to find this allyway in which to work. I also love the challenge of a limited palette of colours –  in this case Mia’s Max Azira dress matched the background colours really well. For a brief moment the allyway was almost deserted and I got my photo.
