Akech also works tirelessly for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, promoting and supporting refugee causes worldwide. When she hit the modeling scene as a teenager in 2017 she instantly became a muse for Valentino’s fashion director Pierpaolo Piccioli. She has since shot campaigns for Fendi, Moschino, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Versace and more… And in the Autumn 2018 at the Chanel Haute Couture show she closed taking the coveted bridal spot, being only the second model in history to do so at the time.
