Luanna, 20, is a second year international student from the Dominican Republic, studying Latin-American affairs in London. Luanna says, “I just went to Shoreditch because I really like this part of Town. it’s so full of art and so vibrant, its just something that always makes me feel happy, so I decided to move here. It’s been a little bit difficult (during the Covid pandemic) The universities are just not so mindful of what the students are really going through – the uni costs and everything. So a lot of the International students are trying to unionize and stuff like that, because the education we got this year, yunno its basically just not worth it, its not worth what we’er paying. We could have signed up to an online school for that. So that’s a bit difficult, but other than that I’m really happy because I got to meet some really cool people that are really like minded and that’s really been a plus for me.
