In 2009 the then stylist Lisa Marie Fernandez started producing a few swimwear pieces in response to the re-emergence of 80s fashion trends. Fernandez who is the Founder, CEO and Designer of international swimwear/beachwear company ‘Lisa Marie Fernandez’, initially started using her close friends actress Elisa Sednaoui and fashion consultant Yasmin Sewell for inspiration, quickly running up seven bikinis, which she then took to Paris, where they were snapped up immediately! As part of her ongoing research Lisa travels the worlds best beaches in search of inspiration, bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘life’s a beach’.
