Anna Dello Russo is surely one of the most colourful personalities on the fashion circuit and always happy to oblige the hoards of photographers who endlessly love to photograph her. During fashion weeks photographers are literally falling over themselves to take photos of Anna. This shot was taken in Paris after the Balenciaga show. The show took place on the 27th floor of the brand new skyscraper ‘Tour Cristal’, situated on the outskirts of Paris. I remember it was a particularly cold and misty early morning and I had already wasted time going to the wrong address for the show, so I wasn’t feeling too great, but then up popped Anna to bring a smile to my face. I took this photo after all the photographers had finished with their photo-call and the mist was still hanging low in the background, which I feel lends a soft aesthetic to this image of Anna.
