Paris – Tone Contours

I shot this picture of Giovanna Battaglia back in 2009. I love it for its simplicity. I especially like the white scarf, setting everything off nicely.

   I’d hardly call this look simple… The scarf and bag (not to mention the two lengths of skirt and coat) are overly fussy for “simple”.

   Hi Duck, I didn’t mean what Giovanna was wearing was simple, I meant the overall simplicity of the composition with it’s limited tonal range.

   I think the white scarf provides a nice single point of contrast with all the black and grey tones.
